The Company. Our core Values. Our Beliefs.
Tru-Quest Construction was founded by its owner Ryan Ellis in March of 2016. Being the son of a General Contractor Ryan developed an interest in construction at a very young age. He was influenced by his later father Calvin Ellis who was part owner of Anderson & Ellis, Inc. established in 1981. Ryan was born in 1983 and began his construction career at the age of 1 when Calvin began construction of his own home. From that very day Ryan was always tagging along with his father to work or helping with various projects around their home. In high school Ryan was a 3 sport athlete competing in football wrestling and track while working as a laborer over summer breaks and training during the evenings. Calvin instilled a work ethic in Ryan that was not matched by many and can still be seen today in business.
After high school Ryan went on to play football at Western Connecticut State University while attaining his degree in Business Management. He would continue to work over winter and summer breaks for his father’s firm while he was home in Sarasota. Upon graduating college Ryan returned home to Sarasota in 2005 where he began working full time as a working superintendent and project manager for Anderson & Ellis,Inc. Over the years, Ryan gained invaluable experience physically working and moving his way up within the company, it was through hard work and dedication that Ryan gained the skill set and knowledge of the construction business that he posses today. Throughout his career in construction Ryan has personally done and managed just about every aspect of construction on projects of various types and sizes. Upon the news of his father’s illness Ryan obtained his Building Contractors License and started Tru-Quest Construction.
Today, Ryan finds his motivation and support from his wife Jade of 10 years and his two children Cameron and Kyla. When Ryan isn’t working to grow the business, he can be found coaching little league or youth football, and cheering is daughter on at her soccer games. Some of his favorite past times are fishing, watching football, and having back yard barbecues with family and friends.
